Yes (well, it has to, it's needed for connecting to public hotspots)
You can't do anything hack related with it though. Might still be able to play videos, I'm not sure if that was patched or not.

It's not patched per sé but it says that the feature isn't supported. I ran html5 test and h.264 was disabled. Keep in mind, i ran this test on 3.0.0

By the way, which dns is active for the time being and how would i host my own?

Keep in mind that for HTML5 video to work even on 2.x, you need to be using a proxy and not a custom DNS. Not sure why that is, it's just what other people have experienced.

I have no idea what DNS to use, I haven't really messed around with it myself.
