Gaming Does PAL Pokemon Box run on US gamecube with freeloader?

Hey,
I recently bought a copy of PAL Pokemon Box ruby and sapphire to run on my US gamecube with freeloader, but when I try to run it all I get is a black screen. When I boot up Japanese gamecube games with freeloader they all work fine but this PAL game just gives me a black screen, is this occurance normal or have you successfully been able to play a PAL version of Pokemon Box on a US gamecube with freeloader? The disc does have a few scratches but they all look very small and minor. Thanks in advance.

maybe your tv doesn't support the pal video?
do you have a wii? you might try in it...
otherwise it should work, i can't confirm tough..


EDIT: IIRC the game shows a screen right at the start asking if your tv is compatible with pal 60hz, you might try to press right and then A, to bindly press the 50hz option, see if at least there is noise coming out

The US Gamecube outputs PAL games in NTSC 50 or NTSC 60. Very few TVs in the world are equipped to display NTSC 50, I think I heard some Mexican TVs are compatible.
If you hit yes to displaying in 60hz it should start displaying.
