Gaming Does MH3 require an update?

I have a softmodded 3.2u wii, and i was wondering if i can still play this game online, but would i have to update my wii?

it has 4.1 on it meaning you can update and still keep all your homebrew.

Can i just keep my 3.2u firmware? Or do i have to update to 4.1?

I'm at 3.3U and plays fine with USB loader GX, and NO UPDATES...

may i know your settings for the game? cause i have a wii version 4.0 and using wiiflow to play games via USB HDD. However i'm unable to play monster hunter tri english version. I downloaded two of them but both couldn't work. The game is able to load smoothly in untill the part whereby i click on 'start game play'. The screen will go black and a continuous beep sound will be heard and it continues untill i off my wii. Any idea how i can play this game?
