I have an iPod touch 1G running some version of Whited00r. It's really awesome if you haven't heard of it before.
Basically, it's a hacked version of your ipsw that enables iOS3Folders, Multitasking, and Wallpaper (no Winterboard). (You can make folders, multitask with a UI just like iOS4's multitasking [with the help of backgrounder] and have wallpapers on springboard like iOS4!)
It's for iOS3 users like me (I can't update to 3.2+ due to the old iPod touch) and it's uber awesome.
You have to be jailbroken with one of those programs that needs iTunes, like blackra1n. SpiritJB and JailbreakMe.com will not work. You will get an error and forced to restore. (trust me, I had Spirit and I had to restore. Then I just jailbroke with blackra1n and it worked
)
