Can you describe more of what is happening? While I am not aware of anybody reporting things for the Switch yet, much less looking at common failure modes, there are various failure modes of such input devices (going back to joysticks which are often essentially the same things from a mechanical and electrical perspective).
If it is still in the middle and only moves a tiny bit then look up "dead zone" as it is a thing built to handle it, though I imagine nothing will be available for the Switch for this.
If it randomly moves when doing a specific motion then there might be some dirt or failure in the encoder/resistance track.
If it is constantly going one way then I will have to look to see what the base setup is for the joycons -- there is a reason for old consoles you will be told not to move the stick when it is booting up.
If it is dirt or dodgy solder joints (unlikely but not impossible) then if you can not get them sorted under warranty then open it up, clean the relevant sections or reflow any solder joints. It might take replacing the relevant sections as well, not sure if replacement parts have made their way to the usual places yet though.
