The wii u looks so empty now. Is there a thing that people have made that replicates the functions of miiverse on the console?

miiverse was dumped. someone on here showed the files. I don't know what's become of it. it's several terabytes worth of content, mostly artwork on the gamepad. lol I once saw a picture of a hairy ball sack while playing 3d world. I burst out laughing.

Thats what I miss. I wonder, how does the miiverse server work? Could we get back up and running to revive miiverse? We'd call it riiverse of course.

Archiverse is the name of the Miiverse backup site. It doesn't seem to have everything, I couldn't find my own posts, but the interface is sort of hard to navigate.

There are two projects that aim to restore Miiverse to console - Rverse and Pretendo. Pretendo aims for all online functionality, Rverse just Miiverse, but Rverse is currently further along on the miiverse front as far as I can tell. Both have threads on gbatemp.

They should merge projects then. I wonder if it works on console. Hopefully no bans would occur, even then I don't think nintendo could ban you from a private server, correct?

Currently Rverse is released on 3ds and releasing on Wii U later this month

Pretendo is going to enter closed beta soon for full network services, not sure if this month or not

the odds of getting banned are low to none, I believe

Would it be worth it to make the switch now? As the official servers are still up and running.

For Rverse, I don't see why not, as regular online functionality is still maintained

Pretendo requires a separate pretendo id, but is reversed on reboot, so you can still do both. it returns many lost and abandoned functions so it might be worth it, you'll just have to decide for yourself

Does pretendo erase any save data? I'm not sure if saves are tied to the nnid like the switch.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done

I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
