That's pretty hardcore, heh. I have a couple myself, but 10? :P

Shame about memchunkhax2 being killed off though.

Exiting reboots the unit and kicks you back to sysnand unless you have your system autobooting to emunand (or like me to a boot menu).

Thats what I mean... I exit back to sysnand and back into emunand 3 times just to make sure without a shadow of a doubt im in Emunand. Im not OCD, but when it comes to this, its not a game to me.

If you're using rxTools than all you need to do is check weather or not it says RX-E next to the FW version.

Im using Gateway.

DTA. Dont Trust Anyone....even yourself. Even if I see GW3D... I dont care. I make sure so I dont fuck up. Some call it too cautious....but I dont want to be like that poor soul who updated sysnand. :)

Actually, if you DO see a CFW firmware, it is safe to update (assuming said CFW supports 10.3 EmuNAND)

Closing out of EmuNAND system settings will boot you back into sysnand, though. That's why re-entering system settings can trick people, because they're now in SysNAND system settings.

Guys, I need your help. I have a couple of questions.

So, I just learned about the update and thankfully my O3DS and 2DS are on sleep mode while on emuNAND (10.3). Now, I'm worried that if I restart both systems (for some reasons) in the future and be booted to my 9.2 sysNAND, I would have to be forced to update my sysNAND to be able to access the browser to launch RXTOOLS again. :(

Is there another way of launching rxTOOLS on sysNAND aside from the browser method? Is it safe to update emuNAND from the stock system updater should I encounter problems in the future?

Thanks!

P.S. I don't use Gateway.

You use rxtools.3dsx from the HBL.

You use rxtools.3dsx from the HBL.
I have a problem with that, though. Whenever I boot rxtools.3dsx from the HBL, the system freezes which forces me to hard reset my system leading me back to sysNAND. But thanks anyway. ^_^

I'm not going to take risks by turning off both of my systems. Haha! Until it is safe, they're going to be on sleep mode. Lol.

CAUTION LITTLE ONE, THIS BAD LUCK OCCURRIED WITH ME A FEW MINUTES AND I TRIED TO FORMAT EMUNAND AGAIN AND UPDATE OLD EMUNAND BUT FOR MY SURPRISE STILL BE A SYSNAND NOT EMUNAND>>>>>>>> WITCHCRAFT
1.How about your EmuNAND? is that 10.3? If so you still have possibility to play GW/CFW if with hardmod.
Correct the EmuNAND to convert it to SysNAND dump. With hardmod dump 10.4 first, then flash the converted.
If that works you can downgrade from 10.3 again.. And with proper hardmod dump you can not brick it, profit.
2.So that's important to keep your SysNAND backup if you could update it without care. Eh.. I don't ever experience that, cause i set different color themes for those.
Hope you can finally get that back. Oh arm9loaderhax? sorry you have to get some console-unique keys for that, ARM9 or even OTP related, so "SOON(TM)" xN.

Sorry i didn't read all those. I thought you updated SysNAND to 10.4, with GW.
However if update it with GW could easily give you a brick. So that normal update is blocked from GW.
I don't know why you can still update the SysNAND, maybe GW's patch failed this time?

I'm willing to bet, but I'm going to ask first: Do you have an "rxTools.dat" on your SD card root? You're not using RxTools 2.6, are you?

I do have the rxTools.dat on my SD card root. And I'm not using 2.6. I am using the 3.0 as far as I can remember.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

No. That was only added in the browser on 9.9 and up. I'm not sure if anyone's reported the browser being disabled on 10.3 yet though.
Thanks man. I just tried it and it didn't prompt me to update. Phew.

I do have the rxTools.dat on my SD card root.
Older RxTools tries to boot with SD:/rxTools.dat.

Newer RxTools, including the .3dsx, tries to boot SD:/rxTools/sys/code.bin

I could private-message you a pre-made RxTools build I know that works with the .3dsx if you want. However, I think you shouldn't even rely on the .3dsx, but rather use CTRBootManager to launch code.bin directly from boot up, so you can boot it without touching anything while still having the option to boot into other programs.

This is why I have like.....10 NAND.bin back ups...one in my wallet on a SD card... one on my pc... several on other hard drives... I leave nothing to chance. I even have a SD card in a safe deposit box just incase....
Hilarious posts man, thanks for the lols

Everyone claims to have OCD these days when they don't. But you're the first one I've seen claiming they don't have OCD when they almost certainly do.

Keep 'em coming!
thankfully my O3DS and 2DS are on sleep mode while on emuNAND (10.3).
Bad news friend, the update downloads while in sleep mode.

Got a n3ds 9.2 with gateway 10.3 emunand coldboot set up.

And a 2ds rxtools 9.2 emunand 10.3 coldboot set up.

From what i read Multirom Menü gets broke on Gateway and rxtools is fine to upgrade.

But what i did Not read is if coldbooting still normaly works when update to 10.4, can someone help me out?
