So as recently as 2 days ago I was able to play my Switch on TV. Up to date, no hacking done, it's a stock system. Had it for about a year and a half.

Put it on dock last night to charge while I cleaned my house and find it didn't charge. Thought it was weird but that maybe I just didn't have it in all the way. But today I put it in the dock and the Switch doesn't recognize it is docked. Display still occurring through its own screen. No charging, not even a green LED on the dock.

Power cable can still be used to charge my phone. Tried it on 2 TVs with 2 different HDMI cables. Switch can still be charged in hand-held mode with another USB-C cable. So I'm left to think it's the dock itself.

Tried unplugging everything from the dock, Switch included. Left it alone like that for several minutes, with Switch turned all the way off. Plugged it back in, Power -> HDMI -> Switch in that order, still no sign of power going from dock to Switch. Tried blowing out the docking slot with both canned air and my own breath.

Any advice before I go and a new Dock? Or at least insight into why a perfectly good dock might just stop working?

Did you ever find the solution to this? I'm having similar issues. Dock won't charge or do video out ( switch screen will stay on when you place it in the dock). The switch charges in handheld and can use usb otg.

I can do $5 for the broken dock ;)

But for real. Either m92t17 on the dock or your p13usb is busted. Disconnect battery and get a usb c breakout board and check for diode reading
