Hackable in a short amount of time.

It's been said before that everything is hackable, it just needs motivation. The next-gen systems (the handhelds anyway) will have that motivation.

My real question is what comes next in home consoles? I mean it won't be for a while, with all three (less so Ninty) console manufacturers releasing big projects soon, but what comes after the x360 / ps3? Do we really need graphics that are better than that? Would it really be affordable any time soon, to justify buying another console after the huge price-point of them now? I mean, if graphics don't look amazing on them right now, it's really the fault of the devs, not the consoles.

I know, I thought a similar thing with like...N64 graphics, as naïve as I was, but people actually...look almost like real people right now...

Consoles don't usually get hacked for piracy.

Just because YOU can't, doesn't mean nobody can. The PS3 is hacked, anyone is welcome to code some apps for it.

Yes, they will be hackable.But , it also depends on the popularity of the console.
The more popular the consoles the more hackers there will be for a system resulting in a faster hack.

I think so, but it might take a while. If it's Ninty's console, it will be hacked immediately.

Everything is hackable basically, its just getting the brain power to actually get around to it. CFW is very possible for the PS3, its just the matter of really wanting to do it and putting the effort into it.

People who hack consoles don't profit from it for all the time spent. Their only gain is praise and that is pretty much it.
