Do you guys really watch "Let's plays"?

Cobanermani456, I watched a few of his. DKC Returns, Uncharted 3, Mario Kart 7 to name a few. He's doing Golden Abyss atm but not that interested in that game.

If I've played the game before, sometimes. If not, I try to avoid spoilers. However, I'll usually watch LP's for a game that I HAVEN'T played if I'm considering buying it.

I have to agree. Pokemon is by far one of the most boring games to watch.

Edit: as far as some suggestions, try your hand at some retro games, maybe minecraft... Anything with action. The point of Let's Plays these days aren't for documentation, but for entertainment, so play something that you would like to watch. Chances are your audience will feel the same.

My PC should be able to handle things and upload up to 480p settings. Poor internet connection, not gonna try uploading full HD stuff with huge file sizes lol.

Common, yes, but everyone has their own playstyle with the game. IMO, no two Minecraft Let's Plays will ever be the same.

As far as retro games, platformers are a good bet. Like Dynamite Headdy, Vectorman, Gunstar Heroes, Castle of Illusions Starring Mickey Mouse. All these are good platformers to start off with.

Yes, i do watch them very often when a game interest me in buying it. Game sites usually have videos but few raw gameplay, which is the main point of a let's play to me as well as video walkthrough.

The only kind of Let's Plays I enjoy are ones that don't have like 9 million episodes. I could never sit and watch someone play a game over 128 episodes or whatever. Now, multiplayer gameplay, or stuff like Minecraft, where you don't really have to watch every episode is nice.

And really, most LPers are boring as hell. I like it when LPers go off-topic about random stuff, rather than just talking about the game the whole time, or not talking at all. You have to do something original, as there are more LPers out there than probably any other type of YouTuber, and more than likely, they're all the same.
