ROM Hack Question Disgaea 5C - Demo Save to Full Save?

I've seen that real progress has been made in getting save modifications to work for the Switch. My question is if we can change save files to be a part of a different game. My example of this to make things easier is to change a Disgaea 5 Demo save to use it as a save for the full version of Disgaea 5. I'm hoping it's something as easy as a directory name change - is it?

In restated words, is it possible to get the Demo save for Disgaea 5 Complete and turn it into something that the Full game can use?
I'm hoping [again] that all it requires is a change in the name of a directory - perhaps the demo's save name/dir just needs to be renamed to that of the actual game's use.
To hit two birds with one stone, assuming this is/will be possible, will/would I have any issue with the physical copy being PAL?

If remember correctly the full version asks if you want to use your demo save when booting it up for the first time. I might be wrong.

According to Google searching, people have reported - and I think NIS had a statement as well - that this wasn't the case.
