Hacking Disc Says System Update Help

I am trying to play Super Mario Maker onine with the disc and in course world and it says "This software must be updated before online services can be used." But in data managment, it says the Super Mario Maker's update data is there and it is the newest version. I am blocking the main sites in OpenDNS. Is this stopping it? Please Respond Quickly.

That shouldn't matter. The update may have installed incorrectly.
