is this even possible to do? I've seen so many "yes" without explaining how to do it as I'm not even sure how to go about setting up
dios mios or the lite version in the first place, nintendont only works with the staorage mode, not adventure mode, it locks up
at the GBA BIOS screen, if someone truly knows if it works with dios mios and how to get it setup please let me know
as i know this will help alot of people, i will no joke make an entire tutorial post and credit you

Bit of a longshot but it might be worth trying the PAL or Japanese versions of Pokémon Box and seeing if those work in Nintendont before going down the Dios Mios rabbit hole.

If you run into issues with DM(L)...
Try Devolution.
It works - I tested it personally using box pal version + ITA cartridge.

Isn't Pokemon box GBA functionality "region" locked? It's more of a language lock, I think that using ex. English cart will work on NTSC-U/PAL versions & not NTSC-J.

Yes, correct (= region locked but all mainline pokemon games for the Game Boy Anything are 100% identical between USA & UK and their friends)

Adventure mode is different but the same (the GC disc includes compatible the GBA roms, interestingly not English 1.0, and just transfers the save and uses it in its emulator, then sends it back when finished)

the problem is while gen 3 is a game i know like the back of my hand playing JP RS on box won't be an issue, but could you explain how this would change anything, because i'd assume it isn't a region related issue if literally everyone has given up on nintendont for adventure mode, hence why i usually people stop the convo by suggesting dios mios (Lite) without further explanation and seeing as that's also a glaring issue i agree that dios mios is a bit of a rabbit hole as i couldnt understand a damn thing about it

i have an NTSC copy of both BOX and sapphire, devolution did not work with my iso of box, i have a NTSC CRT so even if i had a PAL copy of box it probably wouldn't work on my CRT.

Edit: apparently devolution can force PAL games to 480p, but again i don't own a PAL copy or access to a clean rip, plus the guide isn't clear if i need a physical disc or not it's basically heavily implying i don't then does the opposite later on, i'm genuinely lost at this point

wdym by cracked? also does swiss work on wii and is there any thing i need for it before installing?
You can load any backups with hacked devolution. About swiss you need a SD Gecko or similar, swiss booter app (you can also use an original GameCube game that has an exploit to load swiss) and almost all Wii's will soft lock without a disc in the drive.

okay so i should be using the hacked version instead of vanilla?

Yes, unless you have the original disc to boot the game for the first time. The author of Devolution was very adamant against pirating.
that's fair i had an og copy (it's where the dump came from) but lost the disc a year or two. i understand his pov but i can also
see cases like mine which muddies the water but then again thats not the devs problem haha

edit: YOOOO IT WORKED i'll try and work on writing the tutorial tonight and you all will be credited as well as the cracked and og dev for Devolution
