I always get the game twice in USB GX Loader but always the same disc. either 2x disc 1 or disc 2.

I wasn't sure I ripped it correctly so I ripped it again and copied from scratch

Now I ended up with another disk..twice lol..

Is there a way to make it work??

Got latest dios mios etc. etc.

update the loader.
old version always launched the first disc.
new version asks you which disc you want to boot, as long as you renamed them "game.iso" and "disc2.iso", and place them in the same folder.

Cyan I use usb gx loader
3.0 r1226 with latest homebrew channel.

So what needs to be updated?

Or umean dios mios? I use dios mios lite 2.1 if I go their project page it saysits latest.

Barrtj4h says game2.iso u say disc2?

So if I place disc2.iso in the same folder it should list BOTH games in the USB GX Loader list properly??

So I leave the other files alone from disc 2? delete them?

If you have the latest version (1226), then you shouldn't see the games twice if they are correctly installed.
The correct way to install multi-disc games is to put both ISO in the same folder.

USBLoaderGX will list only one ISO but will detect that there are two in the folder and will ask you which one you want to launch.

you currently have two different folders (that's why the loader is listing the game twice)
Games/Tales 1/game.iso
Games/Tales 2/game.iso

Put both discs in the same folder and rename the second one to disc2.iso
Games/Tales of symphonia/game.iso
Games/Tales of symphonia/disc2.iso

Multi-disc is not working with extracted file format (FST)/DiscEx format.
only ISO files are working.

If you dump the retail discs with USBLoaderGX 1226, it will put the games in the same folder and name the files correctly.

I see yes I have created 2 folders and used the disccex tool to get the games. I will try put them in same folder and report back.
But diosmios can't read normal GCM/ ISO files of games right??

I only got my dumps on external hdd. not the physical discs at this place.

so I just put the untouched iso's in like u say?
Games/Tales of symphonia/game.iso
Games/Tales of symphonia/disc2.iso

Of course it can read ISO! That's the first thing it did.

Don't trust tutorial who told you that DiscEX is required, that you MUST convert the game, etc.
Clean, untouched ISO works fine (and better?). just rename the filename.
A lot of users write guides and tutorial based on what they did, not based on what's possible with the program. They are unaware and try to help other users but it's not helping, it's only forcing people to use their methods which is not always compatible with other devices/product/consoles/etc.

Dual disc games even require ISO format, with the filename I provided.
so, yes, just put them both in the same folder. Don't forget to delete your existing folders with all the extracted files, or you will have 3 times the same game listed.
