OK i manage to fix my Retail/buckup disc startup problems . Iv simply started Dop-Mii and reistaled BC v6 and Mios v10 . Next i do some testing with DML 2.2 and there ist something odd , DML 2.2 ist booting my disc from disc channal but when i start a pal game there ist some green lines on top and bottom of the screen , when game asks me to change display to 60hz mode screen shift and now its all blue with this 2 green lines , when iv start an NTSC game everything ist fine i eaven dont have to hold B button to popup the progressive scan question it just popups automaticly. Today i will test if this happens from SD as well . My wii ist Pal with 480p on it and i think that this ist pal/ntsc related . Everything works wine when i intall mios v10 so this ist dml related as well .

Mochu, which loader are you using?

When booting from disc channel, there's no video mode setting (you need a loader to specify a video mode).
If there's no video mode, it's usually in wrong colors when switching to 60Hz/progressive in the game.

When you use a loader, set the video mode to "Auto". it should work fine with most games.
If you have a green bar/wrong color, try enabling/disabling the "Progressive patch" or "480p patched". (that option name depend on the loader you are using).

if just changing the progressive mode is not helping, you can try to "Force" video mode. Select the video matching the game region you want to play.

they are not hosted on google code anymore.
The google code page displays a wiki which load Crediar's own website, which contains links to a file hoster.

That file provider is limiting each download to one per hour. (unless you register, but I guess nobody registered to get two files)

When I attempt to load GC games with my new HDD no splash screen appears at all. The code page says that "IDE2USB is probably not supported". Is there a way to fix this or is incompatible overall?
that sucks i dont think there is an answer to that. You will have to wait more longer till dios mios 2.3
Fuck. Just fuck. I bought it specifically to use with the Wii. I guess all I can do now is to hope hard drive compatibility will improve if updates are made.
Actually, there still might be something you can do. I think some you can get some of the same symptoms if the hard drive is not FAT32, not 32k or smaller clusters, not using the first partition in the MBR, the partition's not a primary one (E.G. extended or logical), or it's set as a dynamic disk (it needs to show up as a "basic" disk in Windows disk management). Hope this helps.
DM hasn't been updated in almost a month now, anyone knows why? :(
It really would be nice to have some new features to play with.
It's summer. Crediar feels like doing something too!
Actually, I think it's because Crediar's HDD broke. It's part of the reason why he moved the file hosting to a new site because he's not getting enough donations to pay for a new one so he has to get some income somewhere to replace it. It might also be the reason why all of the sudden DML got updated to 2.2, too. With no HDD, he had to work on the SD version. DML might see some more updates before DM does.

It shows up as a basic disk in disk manager, I formated the drive to have 32k and the drive only has one partition. Guess there really is nothing I can do.

How do you get the GCReEx to work, all it says when I go to download it is that it is a js file, so I never download it out of the fear that it is a virus.
I think you need to to use a different browser. A JS file is a Java Script file and all kinda of sites us Java Script, even this forum. Your browser is SUPPOSED to read the Java Script to tell it how to download the file and change all the button text and stuff and it's supposed to do it all without even letting you know that the JS file exists.

It should work like this:
1. Click free download button
2. button counts down 30 seconds while it says "processing"
3. button changes to a captcha with a download button under it (or, if you're logged in it just changes to a download button.)
4. enter captcha
5. press download button
6. "download starting..."
7. profit

I don't have a captcha to enter.
I just click "free download" buttons, it starts the countdown, then I can click "download" again, and Firefox asks me where to save the file.

I usually don't either but for some reason the last couple of days there has been one there.

Thanks.
I actually registered, but you still have the same limitation unless you upgrade.
I'm not sure what the problem was, but I'm able to download now.

Hi, i've been attempting to install DML2.2 on my softmodded 4.3U Wii. However, i've never been able to successfully play a GC game, whether it be a retail disk or an iso. All my wii does is display a blackscreen and sound like the disc slot is trying to do something (not spinning), but nothing every happens. However, it is always able to identify what GC disc is in the slot.

i use an 8Gig Lexar SDHC formatted to FAT32 w/ 32KB clusters and use that USB Loader GX (though i try playing retail games through both that and the disc channel).

I've tried installing DML 2.2 with cIOS 249, 236, and some others like 222 or something, and none of them report errors.

help? :3

It's strange that your drive is making "something" but not spinning.

There are two version of DML 2.2
The first one had a lot of booting problem and stayed on a black screen.
I don't know which one you have, but I guess you should re-download it to be sure to have the new 2.2 version.

the cIOS used to install the Wad has no importance. if it's installed, it's good.

I am using DML 2.2, I have four games in the SD - Game folder and the dml booter wont recognize any of them is there, all it says is boot the game in the drive?, all four games are 1:1 iso's through diskex.

huh. funny, i downloaded the latest dml 2.2 like a week ago, and couldn't get it to work, but downloading an apparently newer one today worked almost flawlessly.

Only problem i had was with Skies of Arcadia: Legends freezing when i tried to open a shop. i heard that happens when you compress the game. does using GCReEx -x game.iso count as compression, and is there any way to use it without compression? Or do i have to use DiscEx to do it uncompressed, and will that slow down gameplay?
