doing cache does not make the wii games play. the playing and booting of wii games is actually broken. it will not actually boot my wii games unless i use a previous version. the gamecube games play just fine, and when you hold the trigger in for a few seconds, you can get the nice new GUI with all of the buttons for gc, wii, emu, etc...

the wii games come up, i can scroll through all 500, but when you try to boot, they all go to black screen or give me a code dump...

kind of frustrating, guess i will just get a separate card and make a separate GC wiiflow channel on the system menu. kind of stupid that i would have to do it that way though. and ys, i am on all of the latest rev's and my wiiflow games work on previous versions before the mios dios implementation...

Quick question: Is there anything we can do about incompatible usb drives (other than use a different USB drive)? I think mine is incompatible. Trying to boot from USB Loader GX any gc game on the hdd results in a black screen. I've tried F-zero GX, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Mario Sunshine. All result in black screen and hung system.

I also have issues with a chip+ dios mios.

Wiikey 2, black screens with it installed. Original or backup, from disc channel or from launch from disc in dios mios booter. Light flashes once, then drive spins down. No priiloader installed here, just bootmii as boot2.

BC is fine as putting RVL-mios-v10.wad back on, gamecube games start working again.

you must format your hard drive to FAT32 32kb cluster size,i got mine working that way

Question for those with modchips: If DIOS MIOS (USB) is not working for you, were you able to use DML (SD) with the chip installed?

I agree with @pattonfiend67 My wii games now blackscreen on r506.

GC games work great though :)

THANK YOU!!! this is the third time in this thread that i have stated this. it's nice to see that i am not just some knob head who is doing something wrong.

it is very important that wiiflow keep it's integrity for playing wii games, GC should be secondary.

the booting of wiiflow games in revision 506 is broken and needs to be looked at by someone who knows what they are doing (i.e. not me, lol.)

i guess i will check the GPH site and see if anyone has made a commit or even reported this issue.

LOL yeah I read your comment @pattonfiend67, and checked it out, Reloading cache does nothing.

Tested my games on latest neogamma and they all work, so it's wiiflow mod broken for sure :(

506 is broken in terms of Wii loading, but its flawless for GC :)

Looking forward to an update for this.

I have the exact same issues like Aramdillo, only with Wiikey 1.

@[member='wiismodrome']:
i tried booting Pikmin from SD with DM Booter and DM 2.0 and it blackscreens too.
Or what do you mean?

I will look now what version of priiloader or preloader i have installed, perhaps thats the problem.

Heres i syscheck i made, you can take a look:

I'm only getting dsi errors & code dump.... I must be doing something wrong..... tried from the start 3 times now & out of idea

is there some usb drive that just don't work with dm 2.0 ?

I also have issues with a chip+ dios mios.

I code dump with a wiikey when using my usb hdd, but using a flashdrive works fine, assuming my hdd is just not compat :\

While I'm not sure about the technical details, something tells me that if a modchip is not stopping DML from working with SD, then DM should be working from USB. BTW, the current version of DM does not seem to load SD, so you'll need DML. Try installing DML v1.5.

http://code.google.c.../downloads/list

If that works, then my guess would be that there is a problem elsewhere. Is you drive formatted with FAT32 using 32k clusters or smaller? Are the games named 'game.iso' and placed in the games folder in the root directory?

I'm also using wiiflow r506, and both wii and GC games are working fine for me. Can't be of much help to you I'm afraid, just to say that all I did was update the wiiflow boot.dol, deleted wiiflow.ini, and installed the DM wad.

Yeah I installed the DM v2 wad, and updated from the google code page.... pretty sure I deleted the wiiflow.ini

edit: deleted wiiflow.ini, gameconfig1.ini and categories.ini = still black screens on wii games.
