Does this update has the fix for Billy Hatcher?

Edit: Nevermind just tested it, Billy Hatcher is still broken, back to DM 2.6!
Edit 2: Got a fix for Billy Hatcher with 2.8 not sure if it'll be added to the google page later on or not, PM me if you want the link!

You should check whether your version of 2.8 brakes 2 disc loading.

Of course I did and it works like a charm, the only thing I didn't check for is Progressive Patch because I don't use it!

Did you also try a disc swap?

Those frankenbuilds are never a good idea, if you can't correctly fix bugs you might be better off not making those builds composed of different versions.

Also using the patch.c from 2.5 does not completly fix Godzilla either you still need a disc; leaving a VS game causes a blackscreen without a disc.
Plus this breaks two disc support and releasing this version as 2.6Mod implies two disc support which was added in 2.6.

This will only lead to endless confusion even MORE when not releasing the source.

Very good point. Thanks, you just saved me a lot of effort. Hadn't tried the previous mod version but I had been hoping to fix some games AND keep 2-disk games (hoping for only minimal side effects that might be a better OPTION for some people depending on what games they had).

If it also breaks the 2-disk swap, there's no added benefit that you wouldn't get by just going back to v2.4 or v2.5. Not worth my buggy, blind attempt at a fit then. :) Thanks.

Yes 2-disk swap worked fine back and forth, pad hook with USB Loader GX, all the games I tried including Billy Hatcher, games that still require a disk (right now only Sonic Gems Collection and Spider-Man The Movie in my collection) all worked fine but I haven't tested Phantasy Star Online just yet, been busy with my PSP and PS3 actually!

Edit: I'm talking about the fixed build I got for 2.8 Test, not the one in the google page, that one still breaks Billy Hatcher and Mega-Man X Command Mission!

Edit 2: Just tested Phntasy Star Online E1&2 and it worked just FINE with DM 2.8 Billy Hatcher Fix, I can confirm now that all my games (or at least all the ones I've tested) work just fine and 2-disk swap works fine too, I see no reason to update DM(L) from this point unless a major update is made such as Audio Streaming or fixing some of the broken games I wanna play like Kao The Kangaroo Round 2!

GUYS I RECOMMEND GETTING DIOS MIOS 2.8 BILLY HATCHER FIX!

Sorry for the newbie question but is it still perfectly fine to rename a gamecube that's been ripped with Cleanrip as "game.iso" and place into a folder for DM to run or does it still require the converting tools? Also, I'm still on 2.5 after all these months. Is there any significant advantages to get the 2.8 at this time?

@Harsky yes you can, this is called "clean rip" and is very recommended if you got enough space, as for the update for 2.8 it adds 2-disk support!

Thanks! Space isn't a worry since I'm using a 750gb HDD from a junked laptop. As for the 2.8, I'm aware of the 2 disk support but is it still true that it breaks compatibility of games that used to work in the older versions of DM?

Yes it does sadly, 2.6 added 2 disk support but broke several games, 2.7 tried to fix pad hook + progressive patch error but was reported broken too, 2.8 finally fixed that but still breaks a lot of games that worked in 2.5!

You can also use Wii Backup Manager to format it to FAT32, or simply use Windows to do that!
If it was that simple then I wouldn't be having problems in the first place, thanks though!

As it says in the original post, not all hard drives are compatible with Dios Mios, I was hoping that the newest version of DM had improved HDD compatibility or that centi had found a magic program to make it work.
