But now DM is using a part of ARAM addresses for USB2, right?
So games which would try to access this ARAM area will never work.

I don't know if there are games requiring full ARAM access. Maybe some of the currently known incompatible games are caused by that?

DM has been updated:

Log message

-updated to version 2.3-

*Fixed creating NMM save file folders in FST mode
*Fixed CardFindEntryByName which incorrectly compared file names
*Added a hack for Phantasy Star Online 1&2 version 1.0
*GCLoader improvements that include warning the user if an incorrect
CONFIG_VERSION is used
*Hardcoded the only worthy DVDGetDriveStatus patching, so once again the NODISC
cfg doesn't do anything
*Removed unused code
*Removed unused files

I think we all want those features but we have to be patient. Audio streaming is something I really hope happens at some point. I'm personally glad the project is still going.

Can anyone confirm if Soul Calibur II works in extracted file format when using DMToolbox to perform the extraction?
GCReEx 0.3 broke that game and DDR Mario Mix for me (worked with the previous version) but I haven't been able to confirm with DMToolbox because the PC where I do all the Wii stuff is still on WinXP.

Damn was waiting for improved widescreen forcing. Maybe next version.
Yeah I know, It's so nice to see an update though. Usually updates come in streaks so maybe there be a 2.3.1 soon. Animal Crossing widescreen can't come fast enough!
I have to admit that widescreen feature shows great potential.
I haven't noticed the effect of the currently implemented widescreen mode. Is it supported on all games that did not run on widescreen or just some?
I remembered having tried it with Super Mario Sunshine and not noticing a difference, i.e., Mario still looked overstretched.

Does this widescreen forcing feature work for Super Smash Bros. Melee? That would be absolutely awesome!

I imagine it either does not work for everything or requires same sort of configuration file for each games, as not all games shows the same amount of the data to the sides of the screen and might requires different adjustments. In other words, I suspect it is a case-by-case hack. The results shown on the video are amazing.
This, coupled with the already existing feature to force 480p on games that did not originally supported it, really make then end result for some games better than the original.

Every GC game I own does work with widescreen forcing including sunshine. Some games have visible "spawning" on edges of screen like you can see gulls on video you linked but that's much better than having black bars or stretching. Also when I compare this version of widescreen forcing to that video newer one seems to keep HUD better in place as older zooms it in. Zooming results really big images on modern flat screen and hides more of game itself.

Are you using 480p and component cable? TV settings set to widescreen/fill screen?

I am using 480p component cables and 16:9 full widescreen setting on my TV. Proper 16:9 games just as I expect them to. It may be that I did not play enough with this the first time around. I'll have a look tonight.
Thanks for the feedback.

It works amazing with Super Mario Sunshine, maybe you didn't have the right version of DM installed when you tried it. It's worked for most of the games I've used it for except for Animal Crossing and Double Dash. I think most gamecube games have similar coding in regards to video format thats why it works across so many games, some games however are different. I would just try Mario Sunshine again.

Extrems made that video a while back and i've probably viewed it 100 times by now. I don't know why it hasn't been implemented into anything yet.

can i just install dios mios over sios mios lite and have no problem? cuase i think dios mios lite 2.2 is broken.
yes, you can just install right over it.
ok cool. but i keep getting an incorrect config version error. whats up with that?
It means that your loader thinks it's using a version BEFORE v2.2 and v2.3 is just nice enough to tell you what the problem is. (That may be why you thought your v2.2 was broken, too. The loader was treating it like v2.0, v1.5 or something even earlier.

What version of which loader are you using?

nah i fixed it. had to use wiiflow(ew) 4.0.2 which was released something like 23hours ago on the google code page.

i thought 2.2 was broken becuase i kept getting apploader size is zero and area! al app_entry is not within apploader. no metter what i did, re dump, re conver bleh bleh. still came up.

Okay, also if you don't like WiiFlow, there's always the latest betas of the others
GX would be r1202.
CFG would be r70 mod r46 or higher.

(earlier versions of both of those, you have to change a setting for it to work but the newer versions auto-detect the right setting to fix that problem)

DM(L) booter, the latest version is r30 IIRC but you have to set the "boot method" to "new 2.1+" in order for it to work.
