I just used Modmii to softmod my 4.2 Wii.
I installed the Dios Mios Lite 2.9 wad.
Using USB Loader GX R1214 beta.
When I load the GC iso the DML logo appears and then goes black. I wait about 30 seconds and the Nintendo logo and Dolby sound logs appear and the the screen goes black. I waited 5mins on the black screen but nothing appeared.
I was trying to load my Wind Waker iso I created. I used cleanrip and DiscEX to rip the game.

it can be different things.

1. Your drive
- verify that you have 32k cluster size (or less, but 32 is better for access speed). If it's 64k it will not work correctly. This applies only if it's DIOS MIOS + USB, not for SD card.
Maybe try to reformat your SD card with an SD formater (like Panasonic SD formater) instead of your computer's default formater.

2. Your ISO
- try with the "game.iso" filename, do not use DiscEx or GCReEx to compress/extract. Just use the full ISO unaltered (I think it's called RAW in DMToolbox).
copy your iso manually in /games/Zelda Wind Waker [GZLE01]/game.iso

3. The DIOS MIOS
- try another version, for example 2.8
Sometime, new version creates compatibility regression. Just try another one to see if it's the case for this game.

It can be something else, but that's all the three I can think right now.

Probably I'm wrong, but wasn't recommend...
..32KB cluster size for USB devices (DIOS MIOS)..
..64KB cluster size for SD devices (DIOS MIOS LITE)..
.. ?

Thanks.

You are right, I misread.
I thought he tried with USB HDD.
If it's SD card, 64K is good.

Then it's probably his ISO which is a bad rip, or he should try a 1:1 ISO.
