Gaming did i made a mistake ?! FF3

I've just started playn ff3 and in the first dungeon I found in 2 chests an ice spell(forgot the name) so I used on the boss turtle twice and I didn't know that i could give my character the spell .... is it a big mistake that I wasteted it or will I found the spell again ? I've played 1h yet ..

You're talking about Antarctic Wind, right?
That isn't a real spell, so you can't equip it to someone.
If you use it, it just does one Blizzara, and gets used up.

how can i refill my spellpoints ? without leaving the dungeon ?

Those items that deal a spell instantly are found everywhere in the game so no worries. I personally only used 2 of those in the entire game :/.

You can only refill your spellpoints in a dungeon by using an elixir (not recommended) or by finding one of those water ponds that fully heals your party (very few of these in the dungeons throughout the game).

Best thing is, to not go crazy with the mana but instead use it only when needed.

Items when used by scholars do incredible damage. Really helped me out against that skeleton pirate dude.

One bomb arm from a scholar vs Hein did about 2500 damage. Very powerful. I also got 100hp from potions as opposed to 50.

I didnt understand the weak point hiding thing, so I just bombed him with items and healed my scholar while everyone else was taking status ailments.

The boss turtle is a sissy. Better keep this for the Djinn..
