lol, it's not screen protection. Where did you get that?

It's called grid and grainy. Google it.
There are two types of touch screen used. Ones where you can sometimes see the grid, and the others where they try to hide the grid, but the outcome is grainyness. (I guess to wash out the grid dots). The outcome for one of them is yellowish.

Which is also wrong, there are actually three types of touch screens. The clear one where you can see the grid (which in my opinion is the better one of the three), the grainy one without the yellowish tint, and last and worst one, the grainy one with the yellowish tint, which is the one you really want to avoid if you can help it.

I've had all three.
 
Ive checked my uk white, and it does not have the yellowish tint thing.
You can only see the grid dots in direct sunlight on the touch screen, otherwise both screens reproduce the same "whiteness", as viewed on the warning screens.

I'm reporting similar results, and so have others with the same serial number(UG4) as me(US DS Lites)
