May 15th.

That's the day you will be able to return to Tristram at the expense of your social life. You can pre-purchase now to be ready to go the minute the servers go live!

So many lives will be wasted when this launches. Nothing beats a good dungeon crawling like good old Diablo :P

Never played Diablo 2, but heard a lot about it, and it got recommended to me multiple times. Looking forward to this.....

Is this subscription based, or do you only have to pay once?

You pay once with your cash (retail or digital download) and you own the game forever, no monthly fees.
However you pay with your life, your friends, your job/exams in the long run... :D

May 15th: The Massacre of the Social Lives

It will be a day to remember, that's for sure.

It's funny because all this talk of social life etc. Is true. My uncle almost ruined his marriage with it. (Diablo II)

Thanks both!
But why is it so addictive? Is it like WoW, that addictive?

Wondering If I'll have to have 5 accounts again for mules of soj's and dupe's. Ah, the old ol days.

The best part was selling the virtual items for cash. I was the owner of an early super rare +2 min dmg open socket amazon helm for pvp that I sold for a nice chunk of money. It was nice buying a computer though for playing a game.

"Who wants to play some cows".

I remember the time my neighbor lost his girlfriend, job and the college he went took away his scholarship so he had quit college, all this because of Diablo II.

Play as soon as the server goes live? No one will be able to, seeing as a lot of people will try to log on at once, it will unavoidably all crash.
