Long time Devo user here, if I store my games in other media, example transfering from HDD to SD, do I need re-verify all my games again? I tried booting a game from my SD card (a game previously veryfied through my HDD) using the same Wiimote used in the previousverification give me black screen, no blinking DVD slot since I'm on Wii U.

Mission Impossible: Operation Surma (EUR) on r200 : Black Screen after starting the 1st Mission. Only menu work well and the introduction video.

It's the only game i have who doesn't work. All the others games works well.

If you want it fixed you should post the log in the compatibility list.

Even though I have two games with issues that have a log available have been there for a while but he might eventually try to fix them. It just won't get fixed without one.

iirc you can make a backup of the HDD and install it on ur SD after which u wouldn't need to re-verify.
Copying the files from HDD to the SD won't work.

I don't understand what's wrong...

I'm trying to use my 64GB SanDisk USB stick to run games on Devo, and it's flashing 4 times and kicking me out. I don't have an actual external HDD. However, Devolution can play games that are on the SD card--just not the flash drive. In fact, it will allow me to select games that are on the flash drive as though it can see them, but after I select one it flashes 4 times and kicks me back out.

I'm using Devo r200. What could I be doing wrong?!?

The flash drive may not be compatible, as the same applies to DIOS MIOS too, as I had a hdd but it wouldn't work no matter what, and then I tried a different hdd and it worked.

Make sure its FAT 32 - 32k Cluster formatted.

Other option, is that the backup you're trying is invalid, which re ripping may help.

Maybe you need to do the AP thingy again.

Or, you can try Nintendont.
How does the compatability of Nintendont compare to that of Devolution? My primary concern is to encounter as few bugs/glitches as possible.

EDIT: Comparing this: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Devolution_Compatibility_List
to this: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Nintendont_Compatibility_List
says Devolution is better.

Oh, 32k clusters. I'll try that. It was set to "default" previously.

EDIT: Nope. No dice. Yes, I'm formatting it to FAT32 (using guiformat).

No, the backup is not invalid. I dropped it (Beyond Good and Evil.iso) into my SD card and Devo worked fine.

Nintendont is still a work in progress, and has catching up to do, of course Devolution has higher compat, but it's been out way longer than Nintendont has, give it time and it'll get even better.

Devolution hasn't been updated in over a year, you can't really include that time as contributing towards its high compatibility.

What's your point? Devolution is no longer being worked on. All that can happen now is for Nintendont to match or surpass Devolution.

The point is you're not helping (as usual); someone wants help with Devolution and your suggestion is for him to sit on his hands waiting for nintendont to improve, which may or may not fix the current problem (which hasn't even been identified).

The point is that DEVO IS NOT BEING WORKED ON ANYMORE
With that said, his problem is not a verification issue, since he said that the game black-screens when selecting first mission, so he does have it verified.
One of three things:
1) Try Nintendon't (as the_randomizer said) to see if it boots there.
2) Get another iso.
3) Worst-case scenario: Hope for an update of Devo that fixes this

A log will probably tell you why it doesn't like your hard drive.

This would be nice to have. Unfortunately, the OP seems to just say "you'll need a USB gecko to find out why."

eh... Nintendont's compat page says it has issues with some games that I own.

As far as isos, I've tried Wind Waker and Beyond Good and Evil. Neither worked from the flash drive, although Devo could detect both. (after selecting a game, the wii flashes 4 times and drops me back to HBC.) BG&E worked fine from the SD card, which suggests it's something about my flash drive specifically that it doesn't like.

I just wish I had another USB device to test. Devo works great on my nephews' Wii (I set them up with USB Loader GX). But it's one thing to buy them an external HDD for their Wii for a birthday, it's another to just up and spend 50 bucks on myself.

The only person who said that is the_randomizer, and it's his own speculation... which probably isn't worth much.

Read again; the game never starts, the slot flashes four times which means the USB drive is not being mounted.

The OP also says Instructions for wifi logging can be found here.

Although, I don't think we are refering to the same person, are we?
Who are you quoting? The guy called chyron?
His problem is indeed a verification issue it seems. I had that same problem and had to verify like 3 times until it worked.

I'm obviously not talking about tgames since he already posted a log.
It's not a verification issue, four flashes means the drive wasn't found/couldn't be mounted.
As I've said several times before, your problem was you didn't follow the directions and connect your wiimote before inserting the disc for verification (then couldn't figure out why the wiimote wouldn't pass verification on your wiiu).
