Hey guys.

Hope someone can help.

Bought a used Wii U the other day as a christmas gift for my kids.
On the sellers ad he had discs listet, when I got the machine he told me they were all on a harddrive instead.
A bell ringed then, but bought it anyways.

I assume the games on the drive are just installed from the discs he had, since the list of games on the drive are the same as those on the picture(more money for him I guess, since he can sell both).

After some googling I fount out that the machine was brewed, there was a DS game on the channel list that opened up a launcher.

I have made my own user and can use all the games on the drive. (The sellers user is still on there, though locked behind a password).

Questions I have;

Can I safely delete all data without bricking the machine? (I know the games on the harddrive probably wont work after, but I dont care).

Read somehwere that it can't be done if it has something called CFW!? How do I check if that is on there?

If I leave it be as it is, can I still safely play online and use the Eshop?

Hope someone can help me on this.

Sincerly

Look like he installed Cold Boot Haxchi, you gotta uninstall CBHC then uninstall haxchi if you want to go stock or you gonna brick.

Anyway to check this for sure?

How do I uninstall it? Can't access the user that installed the CFW if that is the case?
Can I uninstall on the user I made?

cbhc will say autobooting at start up or a boot menu will appear. you can uninstall it by running the installer again. I've done it before, and it's very easy to do.
