is there a defect rate? i heard stuff about how the m3's spring breaks easier than the R4, but the M3 lasts longer. by lasting longer, i mean that the r4 will just stop working after around a year...

is this true? or is it some random rumor some guy said to sound knowledgeable?

mostly every R4 spring will not work since the R4 team have not changed the spring issue.

same goes for the M3 'coz they are both the same thing

it will happen soon...

mine has broke 3 times but then it works the next day 0_o

so far it has been fine for 5 days.

Yeah, the spring for these things are really bad. My brother's broke, and I had to remove it, so now when he inserts his sd card, it has to be in exactly the correct position. Mine broke as well, but my sd card will still fit, but the spring will not pop out my card. So actually, my card is pretty good because I will not push in the sd card too far because the spring will prevent me from moving any further.

Other than that, it works rather well...I've had no other problems in the last 5 months that I have had it

oh...okay. i hear people buy in bulk...around two to three, maybe more. but this isn't enough to sell at a local gamestore, so do people buy extras for themselves in a unlucky event or is it for gifts? just wondering...

when i sell 100pcs only 2 or 3 people come back with a broken spring.
of course i replace them for free, and i get replacements from the r4ds factory

I've got my R4 for around 6 months and the spring is fine, same with all the people I know who have one. (in RL anyway)

4/9 of mine have had this "randomly stop working" thing going on. You mean when it says "Loading..." and never finishes right?

Yes, I have a lot of R4's.

wow, just wondering...where do you shop for your R4's? is that a general problem in the sense that i should buy there if you bought a lot, or should i stray away from that store?

thanks for all the replies!

I've had my r4 since January, nothing wrong whatsoever. TBH I though inserting the sd into the r4 softly was common sense...

I have one that the spring hasn't "broken" on it. I have had it jam up a few times where the card will not come back out but try enough times and it does eventually come out and starts working fine again afterwards.

Mines fine. Ive had it since i signed up to this forum, which i think is the 8th of august....

Ive had someproblems where its poped out again, but that hasnt happened in ages..
