So i've never really had to deal with death before, I mean sure i've been to three funerals: two for grandparents (expected) and one for my aunt (~54 unexpected/expected) but never so close. Today I buried my best friend. It is not something I wish upon any of you and I held it together pretty well during the service but now I just feel lost. I don't know how to properly honor his memory or anything of the sort right now I am just out of my mind.

anyway, I would really appreciate it if any of you who have ever dealt with a very close loss please tell stories about your friends/family and maybe offer up some advice on how to move on etc.

NO CONDOLENCES PLEASE

as I would feel like a jerk looking for sympathy, anyway i don't know.

Who's the guy on the skateboard?
His friend...who just died.

I've never went through this, so I don't think I am apt to give any advice.

Dont mourn his death. Celebrate his life.

Yeah. Try to remember the good memories.

My mom died on halloween, the next year my wife left (she just left me.. not the mortal coil) on halloween, my dad went the following easter. It all depends on your mental makeup as to how you react to it outwardly, but inside it's just like a big hole in you, I think that's fairly universal. The deaths rack up as you get older, personally I'll never get used to it, but I'm gradually becoming more acceptive of it.

my friend shot himself because he had alcoholism and after his mom passed away from cancer

and another guy I met on a bulletin board (well years before that) shot himself, he was manic depressive or whatever it's called. he was a real nice person too and had like 3 cars and a nice girlfriend.

oh yeah first guy i mentioned had a girlfriend as well.

When my friend Jaimie died, they found him in a trash can, foaming at the mouth.

They had to sew his eyes and mouth shut to make it an open-casket wake.
That's... that's... actually really scary

What happened, may I ask?

His older brother was a street-level drug dealer. Probably did something stupid enough to make someone want revenge or something.

I hope this is a toke jopic, otherwise I can only say you should try to move on. At least that's what I did with every death I've witnessed (yes, witnessed).

Luckily, I've never lost a friend. But..
There was this guy I went clubbing with. I didn't knew him that much to call him a friend, it was a nice guy.
A few months later me and a friend of mine gave our birthday party in my friends (big) house. There was booze and someone got some pot to sell. So that guy I knew smoked some pot.. A few days later I heard that guy had a stroke and got into coma. He's still in coma since November. If he wakes up he can never be able to function normally again. I was really shocked when I heard that even if it ain't a friend of mine.. That such things can come so close..
