This is a early prototype of the unreleased Game Boy port of Death Track (aka Trail Blazer), developed by Argonaut Games.

A first person driving game set in a futuristic version of America originally released December 1989 for the PC.
In 1992, Activision and Argonaut Software started working on a port for the Game Boy system.
A Commodore Amiga with a hard disk drive and Game Boy developer's kit was used for game development.
This version of the game utilizes a vector based engine using a method designed by Dylan Cuthbert.
The main selling point would have been the the ability to race up to four players in combat focused 3D races.
With very little media coverage during development, Death Track quietly disappeared after mid 1993.
Until a few years ago, when a early prototype was discovered.

So far this prototype has:

no sound or music,
3 playable courses,
a password system
(untested) multiplayer support up to 4 player

Updated gameplay video from speedyink, the donator of the prototype
