Hardware Dead pixel line on screen. Is this fixable? (PCH-1004)

Hello,

since yesterday there is a vertical line of black pixel on the Vita of my father.

Is this line of presumably dead pixel fixable with a display swap or is the problem somewhere else and I'd just throw money away buying a replacement screen?

This problem is a common one, not specific to the Vita. Usually, it's linked to screen connectors (either external to the screen or internal).
Example on a PC (I do not like the fix at all, it's ugly, but the logic behind the fix is there):

So, High chance that a replacement screen fixes this, but try to disconnect/reconnect it to ensure that's not a fix simple as that.
