I saw a foreign video on YouTube where it appeared that a DAT0 under-chip adapter was used after the DAT0 connection was severed from a failed kamikaze attempt. Does anyone know if this is an actual working solution for when the trace got cut from kamikaze scaping?

No, the trace still needs to be repaired. I can't think of any reason why someone would repair the trace then finish off the mod with a dat0 adaptor. After joining the broken trace, the wire can connect straight to C point so why would anyone go through the hassle of using a dat0 adaptor.

Unless the kamikaze is beyond fixing, and they're connecting it directly from the CPU to the emmc? But if they can reball the CPU, they can reball the emmc as well. So still won't require the adaptor

Maybe they had a good left point to work with but were reluctant to do some more kamikaze drilling for the right side to make that connection.
Maybe if you could post a link to the video then we might understand their motivation.
