Hacking d2x custom installer freezes on welcome screen

I have d2x v8 and wanted to install d2x v10.
I've DL these:
- wad files using Sharpii 1.7.2
- d2x installer v3.1
- d2x-v10-beta53-alt.zip

on SD I've put it like this:
root/apps -> d2x installer v3.1
root/apps/d2x installer v3.1/ -> unpacked d2x-v10-beta53-alt.zip
root/ -> wad files

then, I go to homebrew channel and into d2x installer. it loads and shows me welcome screen with "press any button to continue..." at the bottom but by pressing buttons nothing happens. I've rebooted wii numerous times and always the same thins, i get stuck on welcome screen
am I missing something or is it my luck that this happens only to me

nwm, I've installed it using modmii and YAWMM...

btw,
about upper problem: when there was unpacked d2x-v10-beta53-alt.zip in root/apps/d2x installer v3.1/ then it would freeze, but when root/apps/d2x installer v3.1/ was clean then it worked...
