I hear many of the new D2C's out are unmoddable currently. Check your serial number on the Wii serial tracker.

Whats up with d2pro? this any good? If its only 9 wires thats not all that bad.

You can opt for the Wii-Clip + chip if you aren't confident at soldering.
The D2Pro is for D2c consoles I believe with a new firmware update that cuts back from 15/13 wires to 9 wires. It still requires some soldering to the IC pins but they are not next to each other if I remember correctly, so soldering isn't too hard provided you have a bit of experience.

Wasabi is a low wire chip for d2c wiis. I have one - no problems so far.

stick with the d2pro ,better support ,and a much better chip than the wasabi.
