Hacking D2B & D2C

My cousin found out that his Wii has the D2C chip inside after taking it apart.

I was just wondering whether anyone of you guys know what's the best chip for D2C.
Like experience with D2Ckey and other modchips that support D2C.

Like how do you even check whether yours is a D2C.
I don't know what mine is, but it works with Wiikey.

I also got some other guy to Mod it for me, so can anyone of you clarify what a Kynar wire does.
The combos at certain resellers say that I should get the Kynar wire when I thought that D2C/Wiikeys have quicksolder.

Quicksolders are nice, but it's harder to tell when something goes wrong if it's because of quicksoldering.

Most people prefer and suggest using wires since you can see exactly what is doing what.

As for checking, just open up your Wii and look at the big black chip, it should be printed on the chip I believe.

D2C Wii's don't have any modchips that work except for the D2Ckey last I checked. (Mind you this was a few months ago.)

yep, D2CKey ONLY. And that works great, doesn't have the mario galaxy bug for example (well not a bug more of a copy protection)

The D2Ckey is something like 28 wires. So you have to be really good with a soldering iron before even attempting to do it.

Do you have a lot of feedback on the D2CKey ?

I heard many complaints about it not playing a lot of games, but I don't know for sure, so any information is welcome...

I know it played SMG straight from start, but for many other games it seems to have many problems...

Not bashing here at all ! Really just want feedback...

I didn't wanna start a new topic just because of this so here goes:
How do I found what kind of Wii I have without opening the box?

Sometimes Nintendo Wii resellers from Singapore don't actually know the difference between NTSC and PAL, so I'm wondering if you guys have any idea besides plugging the damn thing into the TV to see if it works.
