Hacking CycloDS(i) Evolution: New Firmware?

Okay, so the cycloteam hasn't update their firmware in over a year and we have no idea where they went. Whether they could no longer support the cycloDS(i) and it's production or their team is just fallen apart, we don't know. My question is, is it possible for some one else to pick off where they left off? Maybe even make a new firmware to work with the CycloDS(i) and such? Maybe there is a way to get goblin wood FW to work with CycloDS(i)? Is it even possible?

Probably not since it's a closed firmware. WoodR4 for example is usable on a cart with changeable firmware. Just like AKAIO on Acekards..
