Hacking cyclo+toshiba2GB freeze in castlevania:por

Hi

Does anyone experience freezing with cyclo+toshiba 2GB in castlevaniaor? i've tried formating to fat16 at 64kb clusters but it doesnt seem to help.

2GB MicroSD cards are just a little bit too slow to run PoR without problems.

You'll need a 1GB Made in Japan card to fix this problem.

yeah thats what i tot and i bought toshiba 2gb

Your card might be just a bit too slow, I have a kingston 2gb microsd and it runs it perfectly.

well i ordered a A-DATA 4GB microSDHC class 6. It is "made in japan" at least, according to the CycloDS faq i read about SDHC cards. I hope it is fast enough!! If not, I guess I can survive without being able to play *one* game, when there are over 2000 others I can still play ^__^

I'll let you guys know what sort of success I have.

I've tested my card using HD tach and it has 1.1ms for random access. it should be ok but i still get occasional freezes -.-

I just suggest to install the last kernel firmware 1.31 into the cycloDS evolution.

About microSD, many users says the reference SD-C02G is the best, with the SD-C01G.
There are reference for kingston, pny, toshiba, fugifilm...

I bought one today at 14.99€ in France.
Not too expensive !

Actually, search for the Castlevania: PoR patch (type in the google, I can't remember the site I got it from)..
It will remove some of the sounds from the game, and decrease the freezing rate to minimum..When you patch it, it should work with your 2 GB card..
