They're assuming all Steel Diver carts used the same manufacturer. This isn't necessarily true, as multiple copies of the same came could have had different chip manufacturers. Almost all the carts are C2.

Given the wild success and demand for Steel Diver, I would imagine all the carts were made in one run for this particular title.

For future games, how do I determine what the rom's manufacture is and how do I change it to match my header?

I'm still not sure how to verify my private header is a C2.

How do you look this up? i'm not seeing any of those numbers in my private header.

DO you have a walk though on how to do this? I have no idea how to do this.

They're not in the header from powersaves. I had to try each id separate until one worked. Your private header should be a bin file. Use No Ban No Sky to add your private header to all games in the SKY3DS template; save that as something such as ptemplate. Use Gateway Rom Patcher to see the game serial of the rom you're trying to add. Copy that game serial and look in the template file for it. Under SHA1 you should see four 00's such as : 00 00 00 00 XX where XX is either C2, AE, or 45. Change XX to C2, save, write the game to the SKY3DS using ptemplate. Does it work? Great. Does it not work? Go back and change the XX to AE, still doesn't work? Go back and change it to 45. My steel diver worked with 45 so I would try that first. Then, what I did next was for each game I wanted a private header on, I looked up the serial with Rom Patcher, changed XX to 45, there could be multiples of the game serial so make sure to change them all, then write to sky3ds using ptemplate.

u dont need to know the m.id for rom....id is for the cartridge chip...
so as long as the m.id is right for the header u apply to the game..online will work fine
