Spacejump, iv'e already tried numerous times, converting the elf to .dol, injecting to different channels, wont work, always code dumps immediately, its the main app that cant be made into a channel yet, such a shame!

I hope i dont get bummed for double posting, sure ive posted about this problem about 2 or 3 times

Im trying again with another set of channels, 5 mins.... tried again with another 2 channels, just cannot be made into a channel yet, hopefully when they decide to make a .dol of it instead of elf, its a shame like, other apps with .elf allow convertion to .dol to work as channels, other than THIS

GeeXbox will never work as a channel, as it runs of wii linux.

Never say never, hopefully may do eventually with a future update, if their is going to be one, wouldnt hold your breath like.Nevermind,
Sam is right about is been wiilinux preventing it from been a channel.

Tgames guess youve come over here from wiigen, your channels are good like aswell as Zenome, and SonicDX

I downloaded the GBA emulator channel, but it can't reboot the wii, and return to de loader doesn't work

Return to Loader will never work on channels.

Because there is no loader to return to.

I already thought it was because it is a channel.
But is there a way to fix it? Wel, fix, it's not realy broken of something, but I'm just not sure about the english word 'Solution'.

Let me say one thing, a channel is not something you just easily change, or extract it, change something and recompile it.

This is what you need to do to modify it:

1. Hope the program has source code and download it
2. Modify the source code
3. Extract the channel
4. Replace 0000001.des with the compiled DOL, renamed of course
5. ???
6. PROFIT!

And that is not as easy as it sounds.

I have an idea for a GeeXboX channel. Anyone remember the old hacked no limit homebrew channel with the black banner before beta7 came out? That channel just startet boot.elf on the root of the SD card. Here's what we can do to make a GeeXboX channel:

- Take the old hacked no limit Homebrew channel that launches boot.elf on SD root (anyone have it as wad-file? I only have the elf-installer)
- Maybe change its ID because it could be using the same ID as the official HBC
- Put GeeXboX's boot.elf on SD root
- Make a GeeXboX banner for it

What do you think? Can someone try this if he has the old no limit HBC? Is this even possible? I have no experience with creating and modifying channels.

Sounds a decent enough idea, hope someone tries it, i don't have the files, so i cant :

You are right, we need the no limit HBC as wad. Or if we had a dol-app that loads boot.elf from SD root, then someone could make a channel like the "no limit HBC" (if you get what I mean

).
