sorry to say but pcsx team made a ps1 core for retroarch, it runs .bin and .cue with decent compatibility, you however may be able to out do them because yours runs faster on o3ds than pcsx rearmed core does

Doesn't mean he shouldn't at least try, you know? Who are you to tell him otherwise?

That means nothing, this man is doing this because he wants and instead of a port this is being made from the scratch so this probably will runs better.

If everyone followed your logic...endrift wouldn't have bothered coding MGBA...but they did and it's awesome.

wait, wait, wait... so, mcihaeljohn was being negative and shyet? coz what i understand from his post

"you however may be able to out do them"
doesn't this mean that ctrx could be better than the one pcsx team made coz the ctrx runs "faster" on o3ds..

isn't this a positive, supportive comment? or am i missing something and my english is failing me.

Hey you're right...what the hell?

I honestly did not read that like that earlier...I'm confused...apologies anyway.

Took a non first language english speaker to read it properly...oops.

Ok, now machinamentum is working in PSX1 and N64 emulators

(Narrator voice) Well see what comes out of this

it was meant to be a supportive comment but people on here always seem to take things the wrong way, machinamentum's psx emu runs faster on o3ds and pcsx runs at a sluggish 3fps on o3ds, what I'm saying is that he's showing that you don't have to work on a well known team to build something great

To be fair the comment didn't have the supportive bit until 2 minutes after posting (I was there and about to make a reply but didn't afterwards)

I support machinamentum's projects and hope that us o3DS users will one day be able to run PSX games at an adequate speed. (Won't get my hopes up for full speed unless Smea or Yellows8 throws us an even bigger bone than the one they're cooking up now.)

i'm sure that the 16MB ram boost for o3ds users and 64MB ram boost for n3ds users will definitely help with ps1 emulation, not sure about the n64 though because it's a tricky system to emulate on most devices

I fully support this project but to be fair you can't really say it's faster. It doesn't even run anything yet.

the fact is that it runs, most if not 75% of the time pcsx rearmed doesn't run or crashes at load, machinamentum's psx emu shows definite promise with the current resources it has and will very likely benefit from the new stuff smea has yet to continue doing with ninjhax/ironhax/tubehax

It's crashing because you don't have a bios. Not to mention that can run retail games and this can only run homebrew. But yes, this does show promise.

i have the bioses for all the system cores in retroarch, everything else works fine right up to loading a game
This is off topic so we need to stop. But you need a 5500 series bios.
An emulator developed from scratch is often better than a ported one.
A lot of the RetroArch emulators are better or getting better then the ones written by scratch. gpSP is currently the best GBA emulator on 3DS. Even for non-kernel users.

Does gpSP force dynarec <9.2?

I think many people are mixing or misunderstands these two things up:

Port/building from ground
Quick work/extended work.
