This is an official message from Chadsoft that I would like to share with everyone:
Unfortunately we have become aware that a cheat pack has been developed for CTGP and that a small number of players have been using this to gain an advantage in online competitive play for a few months. We already have damning evidence on several players and have launched an investigation to find any others. We are now appealing for anyone to come forward with hard evidence on: who has been using the cheats and when, what cheats are available, who distributed them, who knew they were being used. In particular, if you have cheated and wish to confess and help us catch other cheaters, we will be much more lenient with punishments. Those who are caught and do not confess will be publicly named and punished harshly. Once again, we already have confirmation on several players, so this is your opportunity to come clean. If you wish to come forward with evidence, please contact MrBean (MrBean35000vr#1616) or Chadderz (chadderz#2296) on Discord. We apologise for failing to protect the community, and will of course work on patching the exploits used. Sadly, no security we can build will ever be perfect, but we will do what we can. CTGP has given us a long and happy period of cheat free play in Mario Kart Wii, and whilst we may be in for a bumpy period right now, I'm confident we will return to that bliss one again.
