LoL, with all these people donating, you'll be able to get a third wii before the other two get back from repair.

Look at me! I go around pissing on people even if they didn't do anything.

So many people here have serious issues with life.

On the other hand, so many people donating is a very good sign. Thank you all.

I think he just meant it might speed up the whole process and give Fors a little well deserved treat for all his hard work - no one donates and complains after

Does anyone know if there are plans for divx/dvd functionality to be added to cSM?...Is it possible and if so viable(would it work well)?

Keep up the awesome work Fors!! I really can't wait for your cSM, and reading all your (and the others) cool ideas is only making it worse

Anyway, have you figured out why did the installation brick your Wiis?

Thank you for all your efforts!

OK, this seems to get an enormous project. I kinda underrated it while reading the first few pages, which changed during the others.

However, as anyone is making suggestions, I lost the overview (at least partly). So please apologize, if this had been suggested before:

Would it be possible to add the capability to load Wiiware and Virtual Console games from the SD card. Just as the settings menu does it, and place the channels on your wii menu? There might be the problem, that this would slow down the menu at first (especially before 3.4), so we might need to add a option — or we would have to press some Button (at the Gamecube-Controller etc.).
It's just an idea and since most people are complaining, that the Wii's NAND is just to small to fit all of their [pirated ;)] Wiiware / VC games, this might be a useful feature.

Again, thanks for you work — I hardly consider donating, as soon my PayPal account has more than "0,00 (insert currency here)" left.

PS: There's no need to put everything suggested here in the initial release — seriously, I think everyone will agree to prefer an cSM with is 'quality work' and needs to be updated from time to time, rather than a cSM that bricks every third Wii. ;)

thats a good idea

I think channel loading from SD card would require a custom (not custom as in patched, custom as in rebuilt) ES module.

Which would probably be one of the hardest Wii projects to date.

There could be an automatic, which copies the game to the Wii at the start and later on deletes it again.

...wouldn't be possible, if there's not enough space on the Wii.

Since this topic is now is all about ideas, here is a new one:

How about a built-in banner brick protection? If a banner was invalid, the sysmenu would display a warning, but it would still load. The channel with the mischievous banner would either not load or display a warning saying "invalid banner" instead of the banner image (and the channel could still be started).

If this is possible/feasible, it makes the dashboard/bootmii much less important, at least in terms of banner brick protection. This banner protection can also be integrated with the wad manager, if possible. I.E. if a wad has a bad banner, there is a warning icon next to it. I'm not too sure about this however, since I don't know if the wad manager knows anything about banners.

Is this feasible, anyway?

Perhaps not in cSM 1.0, but maybe in a future version?

An idea is more channels or pages. It is just 4 pages i think ?)

I mean those places you can put and move the channels, like the Mii Channel.
