Im having a problem with GX and this loader. When I download covers both programs will download 3 or 4 of them with no problem and then they just stall and sit there. Then I have to force shutdown the wii.

Since it's both programs Im not sure what is causing it.
You probably have a corrupt picture of one of the covers that was downloaded. Just put sd card in your computer open up the cover folder the pictures are in and see which one does not show the image and delete those then should be good.

I think it is indeed the same cover that keeps causing the problem. I'll try this out.

Thanks for the idea!

From what you saying...i guess its a cIOS problem.
Are you using wich cIOS? Are you using a LAN adapter?

cIOS 38_v12
wifi
Coverflow RC5
GX rev533

I tried again with GX and it downloads a few covers and then stalls. Same.

Wanted to pipe in here, since I've been using the first beta of this loader for quite a while now. I'm really hoping for a new version with the 002 fix possible as a saveable option on each game, like usb loader gx. It seems that since the new Ghosbusters and Indiana Jones games have come out, everyone has been switching to that loader, and I'm guessing that if this loader had the option of a 002 fix, a lot more people would be checking it out, which needs to happen.
This is the best loader I've come across by a longshot, and I've tried everything i can get my hands on. Personally, I hated having to start using a second loader again (usb loader-gx) to play these new games. I don't think as many people know of hibern's coverflow as should, probably because most of the info on it is in this particular thread on this particular forum, whereas other loaders like the GX one and the Ultimate one are all over the place.
The only other slight inconvenience I notice with this loader is that, unlike most others I've tried, if the wbfs drive isn't detected right away, I just get a some kind of a -1 error and have to go back out to the wii menu. I often have to make use of the 30 second wait on other loaders to unplug and plug back in my HDD for it to show up, and it kind of sucks having to go out and come back in again. Nothing serious though.
I also thought it was strange when Hibern said he tested the 002 fix on PunchOut, since I'd been playing that a lot on the first coverflow beta, with cios rev10 on a 4.0u system. So i went to check it out, and sure enough, since I've updated to rev13a, I'm now getting a 002 error on PunchOut too. Is this a known bug in rev13 or something? Or was I just having weird luck in having it work with rev10?
Edit: I just checked, installed rev12... and punchout works fine again.

Anyway, enough rambling... I'm new to posting, had to get it all out in one go i guess. Great work Hibern, keep it up.

Oh, since the coverflow settings are saved in the theme's .ini file, and since there isn't any .ini file by default, it won't save your changes. In my mind this function only was a tool for theme makers (which explains why it is so ugly)
So i have to add a default theme.ini.
Has anyone been able to install several themes and switch between them? I find it very strange that nobody seems to get it work. At least try to force it by entering the name of the theme in loader.ini :
If you have SD:/wiiflow/themes/mytheme.ini
Code:
[GENERAL]
theme=MYTHEME
dsfanatic5 : you've had a private beta with a different cache format, which is why you had corrupted covers when you copy/pasted it.
How can i test error 002? Does it depend on what game i launch and on the cIOS version?
Thanks, it worked great, and I'm using my old settings that I backed up. I'm not a theme maker, but I have to adjust the default layout for my widescreen tv, otherwise the covers touch the top of my tv, and things just don't look "optimized." You've given all of us, especially the theme makers, the best tools possible to enhance the look of this loader with ease. Switching between multiple themes works great for me, and your method for doing this should be implemented into every loader that is skinnable. Like the others, I'm glad that you take your time to release new versions with excellent features, and minimal bugs

With rev13a the loader is giving the 002 error with all games, not just the latest ones like ghostbusters.
So think hibern tested the 002 fix with punchout as the 002 error was with everything if you were using rev13.
Hopefully the 002 error for all games is fixed and also the loader is capable of playing the new 002b games.
Will wait for an update off hibern on this.

To those who asked for the ability to hide titles, simply change the title color to #FFFFFF00 (alpha = 0).

anyone got this to work?
i changed my title color to #FFFFFF00 but i can still see it (it's white).

@Pippin666 : no , mikejacobs is right , white color with total transparency must be set #FFFFFF00 (the two last characters are for transparency).

@Mikejacobs : it doesn't work , i've tried it on beta1 and beta2 and it has no effect.
confirmed not working by Hibern himself.
if you want to remove cover titles , i used a trick for this , really simple.

download this :

http://benjay.free.fr/wiiflow/emptyfont.ttf

rename to : cffont.ttf , and replace the existing one in the theme folder

Hopefully alternate .dol support is included also. Would be great, could boot it again from Preloader

@Hibernatus

please make sure in the next release/beta you include the new coversite for download

Thank you very much Hibern, you are doing a fantastic job and the last version is working on rev9.

there are 3 fonts in the theme folder.
which one do i replace it with?
when i go to setting menu, i don't want my fonts to disappear also... i just want the game name fonts disappearing.

well ^^
in fact there are 4 fonts in the theme folder , titlefont , cffont , lblfont and butfont.

you should read SLOWLY the last line of my post.
i tell you to rename it : cffont.ttf
so it is to replace the existing cffont.ttf in the theme folder........

and yes , if you do this , only game name will disappear , trust me , i'm a theme maker for wiiflow and i used this trick in my theme
wink.gif

PS : this is for the basic theme , if you want to do this on another theme , be sure there is a cffont.ttf in the theme folder before to do anything (or nothing will happen).
