I feel that the time has come to get buy my first new home console since my Dreamcast. Obviously the only contender is a Wii. I haven't paid much attention to all the Wii happenings here over the last few years so I'm completely out of the loop regarding the various chips and backup loader type things available. So...
How much of a hastle are the backup loaders to use at the moment? Is there much work to do when you burn the ISO? What about launching the games? I've heard talk of a homebrew channel (what is a channel in Wii terminology anyway?) and something about needing a legit copy of Zelda but beyond that I'm uneducated.
If I get a chipped one (which I'm perfectly prepared to do if the loader option is a pain) is there any reason not to get a WiiKey? I've found somewhere that'll sell me a Wii for £200 precmodded with a WiiKey so if it's a decent chip then I'll probably go for it.
Thanks for your help folks.
