Going to make screen protectors and every source I find different measurements and I don't know which is right or wrong.

The 3DS official site from Nintendo says

Upper = 3.02 inch x 1.81 inch

Lower = 2.42 inch x 1.81 inch

seems very small..

I think I figured it out...if anyone can confirm:

Upper is 5.3 x 3.22

Lower is 4.27 x 3.22

inches

Well for my calculations...I did 400 x 240 to inches and 320 x 240 to inches...

not sure if this is correct or not lol.
Wiki can lie,but for this I doubt it.

Top screen at least seem bigger than the dsi and bottom screen bigger than lite/phat.

Found it. Link

that is roughly 2.5 by 2 inches which sounds right
top is 3 by 2 inches

the bottom screen is the same size as the ds lites and the top is just a wider ds lite screen size wise.

Remember that when they give one measurement as the size of the screen, it's the diagonal measurement.

Not when you're looking for the dimensions.

I've always though that was stupid to measure the screen diagonally for the 'size' especially when portions of the screen were obscured by the bezel/frame.
