Could it be theorically possible a "nintendont" for the 3ds?

Some "way" to play ds games using the pica200 gpu for ds games, etc... Like 3D for ds games, or using analog using patches for games, etc...

I read that ds compatibility mode is based on the diferents chips used.

But I was told a lot that things like ndsboottrap was not possible and it happened.

I think OP knows what TWLight is and has the impression that it is not Nintendon't. Its closer to a DSi mode homebrew than a full 3DS one that would grant access to the components mentioned. Gericom's GBArunner2 is more of an example, DS mode homebrew trying to map commands from GBA roms to DS mode. Still I can't see anyone actually writing such an app at this point in the 3DS life given the enormous complexity.

Nintendont is not an emulator, it s uses the gc hw inside the wii.

OP is asking for the same thing but on 3ds, ie an hb that boots ds games from sd using the ds hw inside the 3ds.

There s currently no way to do this

That's literally what nds-bootstrap does. (TWiLightMenu is a frontend for nds-bootstrap.)

Regarding using the PICA200 GPU instead of the DS GPU: Not possible. They have a completely different design. (The Wii's GPU is identical to the GameCube's, but running at 1.5x the clock rate.)

Last time (1 year, less than 2) I used twilightmenu/ndrbootstrap, it was slow as fuck.
How does it run now, does it run pokemon games at full speed?

Yep pretty much about 90% of all ds games work perfectly now. The other 10 percent either don't work at all or have issues saving or small graphical errors ect.

Almost all of them work perfectly after they're AP-patched. I'm pretty sure Pokemon in particular runs perfectly, and from what I've heard if you put any cart with an IR sensor (HG/SS, B/W, B2/W2) in the slot you can use that cart's IR with a rom of any other IR game.

According to the nds-bootstrap compatibility list...
What about Dragon Quest
Rocket Slime: Works fine
DQ4: Title screen has a graphical glitch, everything else works fine
DQ5: Opening credits loop once before the title screen, needs AP patch
DQ6: Graphical bug on the title screen, needs an AP patch
DQ9: Needs an AP patch
Joker: Works fine
Joker 2: Needs an AP patch
and Phoenix Wright?
They all work just fine, no AP patches needed.

for auper mario 64 in some stages when falling to a blue void you can see a black bar for a second but that is not important

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What about Dragon Quest and Phoenix Wright?
checking the games by yourself is more satisfactory

I don't get the OP at all.

nds-bootstrap does this, and like everyone else has said, nowadays it has great compatibility.

What does the OP want that nds-boostrap doesn't do? 100% NDS compatibility?

Even Nintendon't has issues with some GC games.

I haven't tried it myself, but apparently you can even run them at the DSi's faster clock speed (and they are much improved).

"3D for ds games, or using analog using patches for games, etc", apparently – but that would involve substantial re-programming of the games themselves in addition to somehow enabling 3DS features in DS mode.

If something like this were to be done, I'm pretty sure it would still be limited to using ARM7 and ARM9, otherwise instructions from a ROM would need to be translated for the PICA200, which would be hard and likely have poor results. I think if TWL_FIRM was modified correctly then you could slightly upscale 3D graphics(like DS emulators do) and maybe even do stereoscopic 3D(no DS emulators do this but I think dolphin does for Wii games), and since almost all games are made to run at 67 MHz, and we can do 133 and maybe more, some games might even run at full speed, and maybe you could use other parts of the 3DS hardware as well like the IR ports for games that came in IR cartridges or connecting to actually secure networks. I don't know how much TWL_FIRM has been disassembled and researched but I know CFWs like Luma patch it so there must be at least some. Expanding the aspect ratio of the top screen or allowing for analog input would require ROMs to be hacked as they aren't designed for that.
