ROM Hack Could a MK7 ROM hack disable princesses?

I hate the princesses in Mario Kart. Their insufferably smug "haha!" and "bye bye!" taunts make me want to punch an actual princess in the faceholes. Could a ROM hack remove them from the game before I commit such an act of treason?

You should be able to swap the sfx files to something else, or dummy them out with blanks.

Actually removing them would look pretty funny, because every time someone selects them as their character would just have an empty kart driving around. But both removing and replacing them is probably possible.

Replacing the sounds would be a good compromise. Replacing them with different characters would, of course, be preferable though I realise that would be a huge amount of work. Adding in Diddy Kong would be incredible

Not hard
Just search the file with their name and swap it

the most easy way is to replace the sounds, you can either replace them with other cries or a empty sound file
other way a bit more hard but still pratically easy and safe is to replace them with other characters, you could race against 2 marios and 2 yoshis for example
but actually removing them, it will be a bit harder to prevent the game from not crashing while using stuff that doesn't exist..
