So I picked up a wii for 16 bucks.
Got home loaded it up it says system files are corrupt and shuts down. I promptly booted it in maintenance mode, wiped, same error. I updated to 4.3, did soft mod with modmii where it would install all active ioses thinking it would maybe fix it. Still have the error. I do have a nand backup. Everything works in maintenance mode. Is there a way I can find out what's wrong? Thanks!

I kind of thought this was going to be a tutorial on how to corrupt system files.
It is in the wrong section (it should be on Wii Hacking probably)

Did you remove all installed titles? I'm thinking it might be a (simple) banner brick.

But I don't know how banner bricks behave in maintenance mode.

I will have to check, I did do a format but I will look in the storage. Thanks!

No bad channels or saves. Any other ideas?
