Gaming [confirmed wrong] Switch seems to use a cloud system

According to this site (in french, sorry), some guy on reddit reported that Switch seems to use a Cloud system for saves (maybe more)
He first played BOTW on his switch, but later started having troubles with BSOD. he returned his console to the builder and got a new one.
He though, damn ill have start over?
But then, a message appeared when he started Botw
Some necessary data could not be found.
It will be downloaded now
After the download, his saving file was back and he could continue where he was :)

Guys, have you read the original post from the Reddit poster? Because he thinks they just transfered his data to the new Switch and not using a cloud connection. Because how else would it know his wifi access etc?
 
Thanks guys. With how it's worded, I cannot see how people even began to think it was saved data...
Because people believe a news article (Fake news?) instead of the original thread with loads of edits in it...
