I thought most games had their unique friends code. I know every Wii has it's own code but I thought those were not used by online play.

I never doubted this would have online play, but I'm really glad it's been confirmed.

In terms of voice chat, they really should offer the option, but I don't like it when I play games against people I don't know anyways. For people I do know, they all have verizon cell-phones (for some reason) so I can just call them for free while I play. Not ideal, but tolerable.
