Here a quick Q for you, if i have 2 partitions that are FAT32 can i tell CFG where to load its covers and what not from are is it only confined to the first active partition?

DISK1
Partition1 = 16GB Primary 32KB, Active used for NEEK2O
Partition2 = 976GB Primary 64KB used for Games, Covers, USB Loader content

I want to load all USB Loader content form the 2nd partition, CFG only recognises USB/SD as locations or am i wrong and can it also use FAT1, FAT2 etc.. I cant test this at the mo as im not home and its been bugging me TBH
You can add this to config.txt
Code:
partition=FAT2
Why don't you just make one FAT32 partition (32KB) and run everything off that?

partition=FAT2 is only the location for the games and nothing else by the looks of it when i had a chance to try it yesterday but no covers were displayed, it was originally 1 partition but 64KB and NEEK didnt like it and instead of spending hours tranfering all the content off the HDD to another place i just wanted to see if CFG could load everything from a specific partition

Where is Cfg stored?

on the SD but all setting for the config.txt point to the USB and work perfectly with a single partiton but i dont want the NEEK partition cluttered with other files so im wanting CFG to load covers from FAT2 and not FAT1

i was originally asking if all entries to USB like "usb:/usb-loader/covers" could be made to point to a specific partition like "FAT2:/usb-loader/covers" but im guessing no USB loader is made like this

Sorry, but you'll have to do one of the following:
  1. Move Cfg to FAT2.
  2. Realize that adding a single folder to your NEEK partition won't really cause clutter.

yeah maybe adding a few folders might not hurt lol

with it being the second partition wont forwarders and even HBC have trouble finding the apps as its not the active partition? might just give up and continue use a crappy 8GB stick lol

It's just one folder. All you need to add is "usb-loader"

It certainly could be problematic, which is why I suggest you go with the first option.

Sorry for the noobish question, but I'd really rather not search through over 1k comments for the answer (lol). I was wondering if there is a way I can make the cfg loader remember what style I selected? Everytime is starts up I have to select the style I want... it is pretty aggrivating :hateit: .

put this in you config.txt or edit as needed

Code:
gui_style = coverflow3d

Replace "coverflow3d" with your prefered style

and to lock the style so it cant be changed by accident add/change this, pretty handy

Code:
gui_lock = 1

Hmm hmm.. Somehow the cover download doesn't work for me. Possibly doing something wrong (first time loading the loader in itself).

Basically the Wii starts loading and then a wall of text with an error and reboot in 60 seconds. Any ideas?

Loader ver: 70
CFG base: ntfs:/USB-loader
FS: [ SD: NTFS: ]
IOS 249 (r21007)
Base: IOS56 d2x v7final mload v1.0
Feeling stupid already when quoting myself but here goes..

If I've understood correctly, the problem before could be resolved by formatting the HDD with FAT32 (currently NTFS). Is NTFS completely excluded from cover loading? Formatting isn't really an option at the moment because of time issues, but is it possible to load the covers from an SD cart with a FAT filesystem? Another question regards NTFS if the previous statement, why can't covers be loaded from the NTFS partition?

Hello,

Since my new USB 3.0 hard drive is giving me problems booting the usb loader from the HDD, i changed the partition to NTFS and im using a SD Card to boot the Usb Loader. And i suppose the covers cant be stored on NTFS USB drive..i think.
But now im having a little problem, when starting the games, sometimes gives me a error saying : Memory Overlap! ...doing that 3 or 4 times...and then the game starts. im using the USB Loader boot.dol 222, and launching the games with IOS=250. Dont have a clue if im doing things right.

Can anyone help me out? :)

Thank you

I cannot get my Seagate USB Free agent 500gb to work. It is on the list and verified 5 times as "works". My 16gb Patriot USB Flash drive works perfectly.

What happens is that when I start CFG Loader, the logo is displayed for a short time and then it goes back to the Wii menu. I have searched for hours trying to find a solution but I am swimming in information and cannot find a solution. I set up my Wii using the ModMii program which worked quite well.

I am very new to Wii hacking so I may be missing something that is simple to the more experienced.

Also, I run Isusb and the drive is identified.

I tried to use some ocarina cheats. use the built in download cheats and i selected one code save cheat file and when i turn on ocarina and try to play the game it just freezes with a black screen, i tried using different hookpoints but seem to make no difference, game i tried was new super Mario brothers Wii and Mario Kart Wii.

In order to add some functions, I have created a cfg USB Loader Mod googlecode page:
http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader-mod/

Now it includes only the source of my auto cIOS selection Mod.
We can collect several mods and build a new version.

If anybody wants to work on this, send me a private message with the e-mail which I then add to the googlecode page.

Glad to see this and hopefully there will be a new CFG-mod soon
to include DML to play GC through SD.

Just out of curiosity is the drive >2TB as I have exactly the same problem with my 3TB drive but formatted as Fat32, I know the files are OK because they work fine from my 1TB drive when on there and also work fine from USBloaderGX it is just that I much prefer Configurable to everything else out there.

Unfortunately apart from r2-d2199's post above it looks like this project is dead so I doubt there will be an answer forthcoming unless r2-d2199 comes up with something on his MOD

Hi!

Can anyone tell me how (if) it is possible to give the loader a start option allowing it to "see" hidden games?

I'm asking because I'm using WiiGSC to create a forwarder for a certain game I usually hide. When I unhide it, the forwarder works like a charm. When the game is hidden, the loader complains about not finding the game. I already added "hide_game=0" but this had no effect.

Thanks!!!!! My only question now is, this is a modified version of CFG USB Loader, yes? Is it 249 or 222 based? It says auto CIOS selection.....based on what?

Thanks for @[member='R2-D2199']'s and @[member='FIX94']'s efforts on the CFG mod.

Now CFG V70 mod has been compatible with DML to load GC from SD card.

how is this mod version used? i've got it loaded but no gamecube games showing...

edit: it seems CFG will not access my 16gb microsd. strange as wiiflow and usb loader gx can see it. oh well, cfg is kind of outdated anymore. sad to say that.
