Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I installed cIOS249 d2x v5 alpha to 249 and I am sure I choose 249 in CFG for
COD3.

Also the COD3 ISO I have is no patched (verified by using Wit ) and the ISO
is no problem otherwise how I can use NeoGamma to start the game without
any problem ? I can also start this game by using WODE so I don't think
there is any problem of this ISO.
 
OK. After re-downloading v69a3 , the COD3 works -> no more freezing.

Also I test "The House Of the Dead 2+3" with v69a3 by turning on "Block IOS reload"
(249[56]d2x v5 alpha1) , it works perfectly. (no matter 2 or 3)

Ironically,this is the only game that the game caused a hard reset.Let me explain better.
I started MP1 and everything worked.After that I tried to load MP2 Echoes and there IS a problem.The game resets in the intro sequence.I re-tried and again the same results occured.After that,I started MP3 and the game was playable perfectly just like MP1.It seems that only MP2 Echoes has some problems.
As you have the game,can you please test it yourself?

Metroid Prime Trilogy works perfect for me using alt. dol method and Cios 249, I used to have a problem similar in the past ,you need to re-install game from original disc ... (got fixed a while back with a revision of Cios 249..)
 
cfg69a3-222: Playing my own Custom Mario Kart with IOS 222 hangs with "#001: ... incompatible component ..." (unsure inntext message, but sure in #001)
Switched back to latest cfg68-222: all runs like usual.

Remember: It fails while using cIOS 222-mload (hermes v5, based on IOS38)
  • 69a-222: original + custom run, tested with 222-mload
  • 69a2-222:
    • original runs (222-mload)
    • custom runs if using d2x5-alpha
    • custom fails if using 222-mload
  • 69a3-222: custom fails if using 222-mload
  • Neogamma r9b48: custom runs if using d2x5-alpha

The only change from 69a to 69a2 was to always enable the Sam&Max fix:

This had to be enabled to make d2x ios reload blocking work. WiiPower says this is the right thing to do because the sysmenu does that as well. But it seems that it confuses cios 222, I guess I could disable that for hermes cios.
Hmm could be that the cause is in the way you do the custom mk? (I haven't looked the details how to do that and what are the changes)
I wonder if any other games now fail with cfg 69a3 with hermes cios 222-mload... did anyone else experience any problems with 69a2 and 222-mload?
 
If the Sam & Max fix causes 001 errors, the cIOS is broken. Simple as that, it should return 001 errors on half games like cIOS rev 15 did (with NeoGamma).

Do you mean my copy of that cIOS or that cIOS generally?

The cIOS in general most likely. I bet uloader has the sam & max fix diabled if it's inside the code at all.
 
Hello, can anyone help me, why i every time theme is defeat ? i press button 2 globe save to other theme already, but when i go back USB Loader CFG v68 , still defeat theme??? and every time have to loading the game cover, ( before no loading game cover, all show out cover when go in USB Loader CFG ) Is my harddisk is NTFS so can not save the config and setting.cfg? Thank for helping!!
 
I have an idea: Perhaps the 222-mload problems are only there for fake signed games. I will test it in the evening or tomorrow.

But it's not a real problem, because they run perfect with d2x and Hermes cIOS seems to be outdated in the near future.

results of my tests:
I have used "Animal Crossing" and "Mario Kart Wii" and have changed the ID to force fake signing of TMD and TICKET. I made the tests with both, 69a3 and 69a3-222.

All 4 combinations hang with #001 error message if using 222-mload.

As cross test I have tried Mario Kart with 69a3 and 69a3-222 with d2x: starts as expected (tested until license selection)

It seems to be a problem with 222-mload in combination with fake signed games and the Sam+Max fix .

Can anyone reproduce this behavior? Or is something wrong with my Wii setup.
