I wonder if someone can confirm the following issue with CFG-USB?

If I load RB2 under cios223rev5base 37 (in order to get mic support for that game), the game hangs within a couple of minutes of entering the menus. It doesn't matter whether I use the 56-regular or 56-222 version of CFG. I have the game option for that game set to 223-mload. If I select quickplay, & just go up & down the subsquent menu, it will start to stutter & then freeze.

Loading the game with cios249rev19base 57 works fine (without mic support of course), so I know my rip went properly. Also, loading the same game under cios223rev5base 37, using uloaderV5 also works fine, so I know it's not a problem with my cios install.

We know there are some compatibility issues with rev 5 of Hermes' IOS on certain drives, but don't really know how to fix it. It is recommended that you install 223v4 38+37 or install IOS250 as base 37 for Rock Band and the other games these days.

Try using cfg56-222.dol.

Hello. I recently installed this for MH3 and while it worked, it's giving me some trouble.

First, when I try to download the covers, I get an error saying "usb:\usb-loader is not accessible", so none of the covers are ever actually stored anywhere.
Second, I can not save any of the configs. It just says there was an error during saving.

If I could get these 2 issues out of the way, it'd be great. Particularly, I'd prefer these things were saved in the SD card, if possible.

Well, it seems you are launching from the USB but don't have any of the support files on there. The best solution is going to be to get the zip of v56 of Cfg, then copy the stuff from the subdirectory "InSDRoot/usb-loader" to either sd:/usb-loader or usb:/usb-loader. That will give you the default set of themes and the correct directory structure to save images to and so on.

No. In fact, what you said before about it still saying 249 down there before you tried the 222 version indicates that you didn't edit the file properly or edited the wrong config.txt.

I would try reinstalling your IOSes. Follow this tutorial for IOS249 and then this one for IOS222 as if you had a 4.2 Wii updated by Nintendo. Also make sure you installed Cfg correctly. You can find instructions for that here.

so aren't forwarder iso's supposed to be supported? because they all fail to boot for me, and the program restarts, i hope they work, but simultaneously hope not because that means i did something wrong

edit: got it working woot woot, anybody else have trouble with the wii64 forwarder not letting you use usb at all? i've had that issue always no matter what forwarder i use, but from hbc it lets me, its kinda odd

I tried searching for this but I failed and need some help. How do you play isos on an NTFS USB ext. HDD because I have no idea as the USB Loader won't see anything when I am viewing the HDD in NTSC mode.

i reinstalled 249 from the link you gave me and i put CFG on a new empty SD card and it works now

thanks again guy

Is it possible to create a channel for this app? I would like to have it on the Wii Menu. It would be even better to boot directly on it. Any way to do that?

Thanks!

lolz CFG at page "666"

@Trebuchet

just use a Forwarder, it launches the app off the SD and looks just like a channel but takes up less NAND space

I tried CFG Loader out earlier, and was able to play Monster Hunter Tri just fine.
I quit for a few hours, and when I came back, CFG Loader refused to read my USB flash drive. Instead, when I start up CFG, it just blinks the disc drive light, and freezes the wii. I noticed when I put my USB drive back into my computer, it told me it wasn't formatted, so I reformatted and put the games back onto it, but it's still not reading and giving me the flashing disc light.

any ideas?

It sounds like your Wii has been updated to 4.2. Go through the steps to reinstall IOS249 and IOS222.

I wish that you could implement the feature to display the waiting-to-load screen just like in the Wii Disc Channel after choosing a game in CFG. That would be awesome !!

I have a little problem, to play MH3, I install IOS 222 and IOS 233, however, when I start Config USB Loader with IOS 222 (if I add the line in the config file, or use 57-222.dol), the backup launcher don't detect the WBFS partition on my SDHC card.
Can you help me.
